Ahead of the first race in the Creventic Touring Car Endurance Series, which takes place at the "Home of British Motor Racing," the Hankook 24 Hours of Silverstone in April will see the reunion of Herts-based driver David Pittard and endurance racing outfit Team BRIT.

The 24-year-old, who will also be the team's driver coach, has progressed through the motorsport ranks, which includes him clinching the 2012 Britcar championship with Strata21 in their Porsche Carrera Cup Car.
Pittard also helped the team to victory in April 2015, as Team BRIT took its debut class win in the Britcar Endurance Series.
He is also a BRDC Rising Star, having taken multiple wins in both the Ginetta GT5 Challenge and GT4 SuperCup, where he was vice-champion in 2014, having the backing of Tesco's KX Akademy.
"I've had my sights set on the British Touring Car Championship, and ultimately Le Mans," said Pittard, who competed in karting until he was 17.
"I've honed my skills in sportscars, particularly Ginettas, as well as making my professional sportscar debuts in America, the Middle East and Australia, meaning I've had a really varied career so far."
Pittard started his coaching career with PalmerSport at the Bedford Autodrome, liking this aspect of his work to being in the thick of the action.
"The initial interaction for me was at the Henry Surtees Karting Challenge event, and I finished quite close to one of the drivers who was entered.
"So we struck up a conversation, in which I offered my coaching services to the kart team at that time, which led to a day coaching them at Rye House.
"There, I got to experience the hand controls they use, to get an understanding of how Mark and some of the other guys were driving."
This rising young star was impressed with the drivers that he coached that day, helping to improve their performance throughout.
"I've followed their progress throughout 2015, where they took multiple class wins, and now I'm back for Silverstone, which I'm really excited about."
