North Midlands rivals Old Yardleians and Malvern have been paired in the first round of next season’s RFU Intermediate Cup.

Old Yardleians will have home advantage for the tie on September 24 which is the only all-North Midlands clash in the first round.

Two other North Midlands clubs, Kidderminster Carolians and Shrewsbury, will have home first round ties. Kidderminster will host Berkswell & Balsall with Shrewsbury entertaining Spartans.

Camp Hill, Old Saltleians, Stourbridge Lions and Veseyans have been given byes to the second round on October 15.

In the RFU Senior Vase there are two all-North Midlands ties in the first round on September 24 with Clee Hill at home to Upton on Severn and Ledbury hosting Ludlow.

Edwardians will also have home advantage against Ashby. 

Droitwich, Evesham, Harborne, Telford Hornets and Woodrush have been given byes to the second round.

There are four all-North Midlands ties in the RFU Junior Vase first round – Church Stretton v Greyhound, Stourport v Aston OE, Tenbury v Five Ways OE and Warley v Bromyard – on September 24.

Chaddesley Corbett face a trip to Atherstone and Birmingham Exiles, Kings Norton and Market Drayton have been handed byes to the second round.
