Good evening everyone,
Well what can I say, Saturday’s game was a baptism of fire for us coming up against an strong and quick Shawbury United as the score line suggests.
Although we did try and play football at times their organisation and understanding of each others game and a no-nonsense approach was plain for everyone to see.
For a squad that’s been put together in around 4 weeks with some only training once; fitness and understanding defiantly told but there are only so many times we can keep using this excuse, and the lads know that we have to learn quick and fast. We as a team will continue to work hard on the training ground to make this happen sooner rather than later, otherwise we are going to be in for a long hard season.
Myself and the team are more than up for the challenge ahead and with the games coming in thick and fast there is no dwelling on the past. We must look forward to putting right our wrongs and there is no better way to do it than getting a result in the next game.
Thanks again for attending and I guarantee the journey we are on won’t be boring, but we will achieve our goals given time.

As they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day.”
