A second defeat for Leamington's second string who were outplayed in all departments by an excellent Knowle & Dorridge outfit.

Leamington chose to bat first on a slow wicket offering some help to the bowlers until the sun got to work, drying out the track. David Hawkes and Steve Dyer made a cautious start against testing bowling before both fell when seemingly well set. The only partnership of significance was built by Ollie Currill, making the step up from Cotswold League, and Jack Hawkes. K&D maintained their dominance though and despite Currill's patient 42, Leamington's total of 146 - 9 was well below par. Three wickets for K&D's Smith; two apiece for Brookes, Coley and Kenny, aided by sharp catches and first rate fielding.
In contrast, Leamington's first line bowlers allowed K&D to get out of the traps quickly, to such an extent that they reached 80 in only the eleventh over! The introduction of Currill and Harj Singh at least led to a modicum of control. Currill was unfortunate not to take a wicket in his seven over spell of testing seam, whilst Singh bamboozled three K&D batsmen with his variety of spin. K&D were never in danger though, and skated to 152 - 4 with over 20 overs to spare.
