Leamington Cricket Club 3rd XI 185 for 3 beat Moreton in Marsh 184 for 10

A 7 wicket victory on Saturday saw Leamington IIIs secure promotion to the Cotswold Hills Premier League for the first time.

Needing a win from the last game Leamington were asked to bowl first and restricted Moreton to 184 all out off the last ball. Pick of the bowlers was Bopanna Natolanda who finished with 4-34 off his 10, he was well supported by Matthew Davison 3-23 and Ben Cowan 2-25. 

Leamington's reply got off got off to a nervy start and found themselves 35-2 with Dave Hawkes making a brisk 25. This brought together Jack Bewick & Liam Killian who put on 143 for the 3rd wicket before Killian was bowled for an excellent 69 and Bewick was unbeaten on 62 as the IIIs reached there target with 8 overs to spare. 

A consistent season saw Leamington deservedly finish in 2nd place and look forward to the challenge next year of competing in the Premiership.
