Droitwich travelled to Banbury on Saturday desperate for league points but then came away empty handed suffering their biggest defeat of this league campaign.

The visitors looked bright in the opening stages trying to attack the Banbury line, but gave away possession too readily and again their tackling and defensive organisation let them down as the home side ran in two early tries.

The introduction of Charlie Wilkinson and Matt Jupp helped steady the scrummage, but again the skilful Banbury back line made ground and Droitwich reached the half time interval 31 points to nil down.

In the second period the young side showed some fighting spirit with Tom Wokingham going over for a well worked try, but this was merely a consolation as the game had already been decided.

Droitwich entertain fellow strugglers Bedworth next week and anything less than a victory would send them one step closer to relegation.
