Saturday was spent running on the sand dunes at Ainsdale and Sunday saw competitors pounding the streets of Liverpool searching for control points. This weekend proved popular with several club members including some great runs by club juniors.

Octavian Droobers Orienteering Club members have so far managed to put the club into a fantastic 3rd place, from nearly 100 clubs registered, in the UKOL (UK Orienteering League). This result is compiled from the 10 best performances by a maximum of 15 individuals from a total of 21 events planned throughout the year.  Club members who have contributed to the current score of 5453 points are: Margaret Willdig W60, Anne Straube W40, Hilary Simpson W75, Liz Phillips W50, Harrison McCartney M18, Chris McCartney M45, Nathan Lawson M20, Mike Hampton M70, Ben Flippance M35, Julie Emmerson W20, Jill Emmerson W50, Andy Emmerson M60, Sheila Carey W70, Peter Carey M70 and Bruce Bryant M55.  With several more races still to come across the country OD may well increase this lead.
