Southam overwhelmed a spirited and depleted Broadstreet side to notch up 3 wins in a row.

With only 12 lads Southam agreed to sportingly lend Broadstreet 3 players to make the contest evenly matched numbers wise however from the off it was evident Southam wanted to avenge a heavy loss against Broadstreet earlier on in the season. Playing against the wind and sun Southam started the more positive and up front their bigger forwards created a lot of problems for the opposing 8. Quality ball was shipped out often and this allowed Dan Dunne to burst through for 2 tries within the space of 5 minutes one of which stand in fly half Dan Mills converted. Ever present Finn Toner then popped up for a score wide out that was well converted again by Mills. Broadstreet then sneaked in for a late consolation try taking advantage of an unprotected blind side.

Southam went into the break 19 5 up but with a second half with the wind behind them and the sun in the Broadstreet eyes they continues where they left off. Once the rejigged side had settled down Southam were again crossing the line with Collet next on the score sheet sprinting in from 30 metres and Mills who had a strong game throughout scored the next try and converted it to take the score to 31 5. Broadstreet then caught Southam napping and although they scored 2 unconverted tries Southam’s dominance and lead never looked in doubt. In fact they bounced back and Matt Dunne then popped up to score with Mills converting before Joel Bennett bull boozed his way over for a further converted try  before Toner finished off a profitable game right on the stroke of full time with his second score.

Man of the Match was Joel Bennett whose aggressive straight running created numerous opportunities had a fine game.
