Under 18s – Junior Colts

Banbury Under 18 Junior Colts travelled to Redingensians on Sunday and returned with a 43-12 victory.

A good performance today from Banbury U17’s and U18’s seamlessly fitting together to produce a better display than perhaps we have seen all season. Just goes to show that we do need to train and play together to get the best out of this side. Banbury scored seven tries in total - 4 in the first half and three in the second – but unfortunately we let the opposition in for a couple of their own. Banbury’s try scorers were Kallum Dixey, Doug Backhouse and Hugh Saar. In the end the final score was Redingensians 12 Banbury 43.

Under 16s

Banbury Under 16s welcomed a top four Leicestershire side from Market Bosworth to Bodicote Park on Sunday.

The visitors were a bit slow to get going and Banbury struck first with tries from Luca Catania and Henry Humphreys in the first 10 minutes. Jack Briggs and George Grieve added to Banbury’s first half tally; however a lapse in concentration allowed the visitors to get two of their own. Briggs also slotted 3 first half conversions to make it 26-12 to Banbury at the turn-around. Banbury’s backs really opened up in the second half with Caleb Shepherd, Grieve and Dan Morris also crossing the whitewash. Briggs added 2 more conversions to see Banbury run out 45-12 victors.
