In an extremely tight division we lost 2 unbeaten records today, and only Olton Royale remain so.

Olton had a tight 1-0 win at Inter Volante in a game that could have gone either way. It was settled with the very last kick of the game by Brian McGarry. I had a text from Olton Royale saying that Inter played very well and deserved a point, and that he would have enjoyed the game even if they had lost. This was aided by a great performance from referee Steve Taylor.

Continental Star won 2- 0 at Erdington Brookvale with goals from Prescod and Reid.

Two goals from Russell for Walsall Alma Vets saw them run out deserved winners at Sutton Town Vets, however credit to Sutton, whilst not playing at their best, did create chances and contributed to a good game.

Again a tight division, Wychall Wanderers remain top following a fine 4-1 win over Bagot St Michaels. Two goals from Bishop and 1 each from Thacker and Ward. Bagot’s goal was scored by Taylor.

Beeches OB are hot on their tails following fine 10-1 win over Alpha FC. Braces from Pickett, McKeown and Nigel Kelly and 1 each from Sedgeley, Guy, S Hampson and M Hampson. Thompson with the Alpha reply.

Cadbury Athletic won a very tight and competitive game at Wilnecote 2-0. Holden and an own goal for Cadbury. Wilnecote said Cadbury’s were outstanding and wanted to win the game more – well done.

Northfield Town Vets beat Water Orton Utd 4- 1 with goals from Berg, Waldron and Renhard with 2. Price for Orton.

Newtown Utd beat Sheldon Heath Social 3- 1. The goals coming from Birmingham and 2 from Tomlinson. Moloney for Sheldon.
