Bretforton made hard work of sealing the win in this tough, topsy-turvey game against third place Team Bath.

Bath were first on the attack and forced Bret into some last minute defending on several occasions before the home side found some form and got themselves going.

Hayley Whitehouse was making good penetrations and linking well with Sarah Hall, sure in the knowledge that the midfield behind them was in the safe hands of Lisa Workman.  Bret were now putting pressure on Bath and this told with the award of several short corners – surely a goal was imminent !

The game came to a stuttering halt however when a Bath player was badly injured in an unfortunate accident and taken to hospital.

The entire Bret team wish her well.

After much debate, both teams agreed to play the second half in full rather than re-arranging the game at this late stage of the season.

Brets goal - although against a now weakened Bath side – was a brilliantly worked team goal.  Smart and snappy passing saw Terri Brown latch onto the final pass and slot the ball home sweetly at the far post.

Not their most emphatic victory but victory non the less and it sees the team stay in second spot in the league with one game to go away to Gloucester next weekend.
