‘ INSALL TAKES WCT TO CLOUD NINE ! ‘

A superb individual goal scoring performance from WCT Raiders hot-shot Jamie Insall, saw him net all nine goals in their McDonald’s Worcester & District Football League’s Sunday Premier Division 9-4 win over Malvern Radar.

Raiders are now level on points with Heenans at the top of the table, Heenans having a superior goal difference. Elsewhere Steve Pitt hit a hat-trick for New Inn who won 5-3 at Arrow 2000 and Aaron Morris scored twice in Perrywood’s 3-2 victory over Callow End.

In Division One Hallow Village lost 3-2 at home to Powick, Scott Bailey grabbing both the Hallow goals.

After four successive defeats, AFC West Midland returned to winning ways in Division 2 with a 7-4 win against the University of Worcester. Josh Homans, on his return to the club, netted four times with Simon Hill cracking a hat-trick, Dan Monk bagging two for the students. Tony Farnsworth also found the net four times for Claines who moved into second place with an 8-0 demolition of Inter Express. A single strike from Gary Jones gave leaders Worcester Raiders victory at Northside.

Shane Wade fired a treble for Division 3 leaders Brewers Athletic who recorded a ninth successive win, 6-1 at Worcester City Wanderers.

Pillar of Salt Korono are racing towards the Division 4 title, Aidan Crowther notching a double in a 3-1 success at Old Vigornians, their eleventh win on the bounce. Meanwhile Toby Attwood found the net four times as WCT Youth Raiders crushed Blackpole Sports 6-0 and there was a brace each for James Martine and George Haywood in Clifton Rovers comfortable 6-1 win against Talbot. Jay Malerian bagged two for Whitehall who thumped Trinity Sports 7-2, James Devlin recording both Trinity goals.

Droitwich RBL won 5-3 at The Bell @ St Johns, Adam Ellis scoring twice for the RBL, Sebastian Ash doing likewise for The Bell.

In Division 5 Tom Genever netted four times as Hallow Reserves moved into second place with a 5-1 success at Sport Dysons.

Droitwich Spa Eagles A shared six goals with Spa Gas, Matt Purser hitting a hat-trick for the Eagles.

There was a major shock in the Saturday Division where title favourites WCT Raiders crashed to a 5-1 home defeat from Malvern Town Reserves. Josh Lloyd and Stacey Brimmell both bagged a brace for the Town. VBL Sports sunk Worcester Anchors 7-0, Dan Woodward scoring four times, Aaron Davis adding a hat-trick.
