Sunday 29 November

So the November weather has caused a near wash out of our fixtures today with only one game played.  The game was VKL v Royal Oak Alcester.

After a perfect start for VKL, Stephen Spencer netted an early goal to give them a 1-0 lead.  Soon after the score was 2-0 after an own goal scored. Royal Oak Alcester crept back into the game, pulled back a crucial goal and before half time the score was 2-2.

Both teams came out for the second half looking confident with the game looking as though it could go either way.  With the game going great guns, Royal Oak Alcester scored a crucial goal taking the lead (3-2) and then another taking the game 4-2.

With 10 minutes remaining, VKL scored after a goal mouth scramble taking the game to 4-3 and then VKL failed to clear the ball after an excellent free kick Royal Oak Alcester scored again taking the final match score to 5-3.

VKL 3 (Stephen Spencer, Own Goal, Daniel Murphy) v Royal Oak Alcester 5 (Ashley Wilson, Shane Kelleher 2, Dan Reeves, Chris Bryant)

With only 3 Sunday’s left on 2015, let’s hope the weather helps us and we get some more football played.  Just to remind you – no matches will be played on Sunday 27 December or Sunday 3 January.
