The North East Midlands ladies touch rugby league was held at Camp Hill RFC on Sunday.  Wellesbourne delivered some top quality tries and earned themselves 2nd place; winning 4 of their 5 games. This included beating top of the league side Stratford 5-1. 3 fast scores in the first half from Catriona Rollason gave the Bourne a strong finish in the first half. 2 more tries by Kara Boal (1) and Katherine Hollian (1) sealed their win.
The Bourne continued with their winning streak and won the first round also beating Old Laurentians  2-0 (scores from Capt Tash Rose and Claire Davis) and Newbold Falcons 2-0 (Davis & Boal both scoring again). In their 4th game they narrowly beat Camp Hill 3-1 with Lorna Wales scoring 2 and Cat Rollason 1. In the final they played Redditch who were the deserved winners on the day outplaying Wellesbourne after a hot humid day. Rollason continued on her streak and scored her 5th try of the day and earning herself Wellesbourne's player of the tournament. Training is open to all ladies aged 12 years up held at the home guard club in Tiddington from 7pm-9pm EVERY Thursday.
