The Wildmoor Spa Tennis League previously the South Warwickshire Summer Tennis League presented a Long Service Award to one of their committee members.

An engraved Hip Flask was presented by the League Chairman Tony Eskew to their Division One Organiser Simon Moss of Shipston-on-Stour Tennis Club for 10 years service to the league.  Simon has held this position since joining the committee in 2004 and at that time he was the Shipston Summer Team Captain.  Apart from taking on this league role Simon switched to being the representative organising Shipston’s Junior side in the newly formed Junior League Cup competition started that year. He was to go on to be the Junior League Organiser in 2009-11 inclusive.  Also Shipston Juniors went on to win the cup on no less than six times during this period.

The Secretary congratulated Simon stating he thoroughly deserves this award and is an invaluable member of the team devoting what little spare time he has to his league duties.  He hopes that Simon will continue for a few years more yet.  The league is celebrating its’ silver jubilee having been founded by its’ Secretary Corin Bishop in 1990 with only 7 teams and now consists of 40 Men's teams in six divisions and 20 Junior teams in five pools.  The league enjoys a new main sponsor in Anthony Bird of the Wildmoor Spa and Health Club and the horizon looks bright!
