The Worcester Wolves have now welcomed all of their new recruits with the exception of US guard Jay Couisnard and are now in an advanced stage of pre-season training.

Their training venue plans have been changed somewhat, with the unavailability of their home court at the University of Worcester Arena. The Arena has been hosting the European Wheelchair Basketball Championships and the team have moved to the Kings school to complete their daily training schedule.  Managing Director Mick Donovan “We have an excellent relationship with the King’s school and their new sports facilities are first class. The coaches and players have also really enjoyed working within the environment of such a prestigious school and it has certainly enabled us to prepare appropriately for the coming season. We are really grateful to the School for their support.”

Head Coach Paul James is pleased with the progress that the new team are making

"Pre-season has started well with all of the players starting to get to know each other and showing signs of understanding the way I want  the team to play this season both on offense and defence. I'm pleased with how far we have come in a very short space of time. I'm look forward to seeing how we shape up in our pre-season games as we have changed  a lot of things coming into this season!"

The Wolves will be in public view for the first time this Sunday, 13th September at the University of Worcester Arena when they host the Surrey Scorchers at   1pm. Entry to the game will be free as the Wolves are keen to reward established fans and encourage new fans to see what  is in store for this season.
