Even Parishes took part in the Cross Country event in the Wychavon Parish Games on Monday at Pershore High School in near perfect conditions for running. 

First home was Jonny Johnson from Fladbury, closely followed by Andy Train, also from Fladbury, and witht he whole Fladbury's team amassing a total of just 59 points, this meant they won the trophy for the third year running. 

Second were Crowle with 111, just two points ahead of 3rd placed Little Comberton.  Hill and Moor were 4th, with Eckington in 5th.  Other Parishes taking part were Badsey, Wyre Piddle, Wick, Harvington, Inkberrow and Broadway. 

The next one-day event is the Angling, which will take place on Saturday21st September on the River Avon at Evesham. 

The Presentation Evening will take place at the Bell Inn in Eckington on 20th November when the Chairman of the District Council, Cllr Gerry O'Donnell, will present the prizes.
